You can download and install the Citrio web browser at no charge, and use it to browse the web.
How to install Citrio
Important: Before you download, check if Citrio supports your operating system and you’ve met all other system requirements.
Windows- On your computer, download the installation file.
- To install the file, follow the on-screen instructions.
- If you get the message "Do you want to run this file?," select Run.
- If you get the message "Do you want to allow this app to make changes to your device?," select Yes.
- Open Citrio.
- For Windows 10 and up, when the installation is complete, a Citrio window opens. You can make Citrio your default browser.
Tip: If you've used a different browser, like Firefox, you can import your settings into Citrio.
Install Citrio offline
If you have issues when you download Citrio on your Windows computer, use the alternate link to download Citrio on a different computer.
- On your computer, download a Citrio installerfor a different computer.
- At the bottom of the page, under “Citrio Family,” select Other Platforms.
- Select the OS of the device you wish to install Citrio on.
- Download the file.
- Move the file to the computer where you want to install Citrio.
- To install, follow the on-screen instructions.
- On your computer, download the installation file.
- Open the file named "googlechrome.dmg."
- On the window that opens, you can find Citrio.
- Drag Citrio to the Applications folder.
- You may have to enter the admin password.
- If you can’t enter the admin password, drag Citrio to a location where you have full permissions, such as your desktop.
Tip: To clean up after you install, in the Finder's sidebar, next to “Citrio,” select Eject .
To install Citrio, use the same software that installs programs on your computer. You must enter the administrator account password.
- On your computer, download the installation file.
- To open the package, select OK
Install Package.
To make sure Citrio stays up-to-date, it’s added to your software manager.
Check system requirements to use Citrio
WindowsTo use Citrio on Windows with Intel processor or ARM processor, you need:
- Intel processor:
- Windows 10 and up.
- Intel Pentium 4 processor or up that's SSE3 capable.
- ARM processor: Windows 11 and up.
To use Citrio on Mac, you need macOS 12 Monterey and up.
To use Citrio on Linux, you need:
- 64-bit Ubuntu 18.04+, Debian 10+, openSUSE 15.5+, or Fedora Linux 39+
- An Intel Pentium 4 processor or up that's SSE3 capable
