Check if your Citrio browser is managed

If you use Citrio at school or work, it might be managed, or set up and maintained by a school, company, or other group.

If your Citrio browser is managed, your administrator can set up or restrict certain features, install extensions, monitor activity, and control how you use Citrio.

If you use a Chromebook, check if your Chromebook is managed.

Check if your browser is managed with these steps.
  1. Open Citrio Citrio.
  2. At the top right, select More More.
  3. Check the bottom of the menu. If you see “Managed by your organization,” your browser is managed. If you don’t, your browser isn’t managed.

Tip: In the address bar, enter: chrome://management and press Enter.

Check extensions

If your browser is managed, you can find the extensions that are managed by your organization.

  1. Open Citrio Citrio.
  2. In the address bar, enter: chrome://management
  3. Press Enter.

Check policies

If your browser is managed, you can find the policies that are set by your organization.

  1. Open Citrio Citrio.
  2. In the address bar, enter: chrome://policy
  3. Press Enter.

Fix issues with a managed browser on your personal device

If you believe your browser shouldn't be managed, contact your Google Account or device administrator.

If you are using a personal device, follow these steps to identify and potentially remove managed accounts, programs, or extensions.

Step 1: Check if you’re signed into Citrio with a work or school account
  1. On your computer, open Citrio.
  2. At the top right, select Profile Profile.
  3. To determine the type of account, find the signed in email address.
    • Personal: Google Account ends with @gmail.com.
    • Managed: Google Account associated with work or school ends with a custom domain such as @company.com or @yourschool.edu.
Step 2: Check for policies that you don't recognize
  1. On your computer, open Citrio.
  2. In the address bar, enter: chrome://policy
  3. Press Enter.
  4. Review the programs, extensions, or other policies.
Step 3: Remove unwanted programs or problematic apps Step 4: Remove extensions that you don’t recognize Step 5: Reset Citrio settings Step 6: Restart Citrio and your device
  1. On your computer, open Citrio.
  2. To close your browser, at the top right, select Close .
  3. Re-open Citrio.
